In my search for interesting moments in history to share, I may have stumbled upon the inspiration for the song "Dancing the Night Away," which was a Leo Sayer hit from the late 70s. It seems the year 1518 saw a strange phenomenon that is still a thing of legend.
Apparently, in July of that year, a woman named Frau Troffea stepped from her home and began to boogie in her front yard. There was no DJ, no band and no Soul Train. Yet, this lady was throwing down the hoedown for most of the next week, non-stop.
