Two men were killed early Wednesday morning, Jan 8, in a head-on collision on State Road 6, east of County Road 751, in Hamilton County.
According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash occurred around 6:15 a.m. when a Dodge pickup truck traveling eastbound on State Road 6 veered into the westbound lane, striking the oncoming Isuzu box truck. The impact caused the Isuzu to overturn in the north ditch.
The driver of the Dodge pickup, a 26-year-old man from Jasper, and the driver of the Isuzu box truck, a 24-year-old man from Valdosta, Ga., were both pronounced dead at the scene.
FHP is continuing to investigate the accident.
