The most common causes of fatal farm injuries in Canada are machine-related, according to Canadian Agricultures Injury Reporting (CAIR). Transportation incidents, with most related to the use of machinery such as tractors, were the leading cause of death for farm workers in the U.S.

Machine Rollovers, particularly tractor rollovers, account for a large number of fatalities and injuries each year.
There are two types of tractor rollovers.
Rearward rollover occurs when rear wheels cannot rotate enough to move the machine forward and it tips to the rear.
