The Lafayette Farm Judging Contest is just around the corner

One of the office's most popular annual events is about to happen again. On Friday, Nov. 7, it will be hosting its yearly Farm Judging Contest for youth. According to the extension office, “ this is a contest where participants evaluate commodities like corn, tobacco, peanuts, hay, silage, beef, swine, dairy and poultry. They also have the option to participate in a farm manager contest to identify agricultural tools, insects, feedstuffs and weeds, as well as take a written portion to
