Engines will rev and competition will heat up as The Arc North Florida hosts its 28th annual Lawn Mower Race on Saturday, April 11.
The event will take place at John Strayers’s Pro Arms, located at 1703 Ohio Ave. N., in Live Oak. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., with races scheduled to start at 10 a.m.
The annual race supports The Arc North Florida and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Participants and spectators alike are invited to take part in the day’s activities.
Community members and business owners have several opportunities to get involved, including through sponsorships and team participation. Track sponsorships are available for $150, while teams of three can register for $250. Pit Stop Challenges are also offered at a $500 level.
Trophies will be awarded to each member of the winning team.
Lawn mowers for the race will be provided by Fueled Outdoors.
