The back-to-school events are in full swing in the tri-county area, as students, parents, teachers and administrators alike prepare for another school year. Another back-to-school bash is just around the corner, as The Faith Project and Kids Feeding Kids join forces to help those in need this school year. The upcoming bash will be held on Friday, July 18, and will feature a variety of reasons to attend.
The first attraction will be the free hot dogs, graciously provided by Suwannee Maintenance Solutions. The event will also offer chips, water and juice, provided by Customized Plumbing Solutions, as well as free ice-cold slushies from Western Freeze and Kayla Valdez. Additionally, there will be lemonade from Ellie's Lemonade. Now, many may wonder what this has to do with school. Beyond the fun and food, the organizations have collaborated to provide 300 free book bags. The bags will be stuffed with school supplies for local students, helping them prepare for the new school year without breaking any pocketbooks.
The bash will be held on Friday, July 18, at 2 p.m. at the First Federal Sports Complex, located at 1201 Silas Dr. SW, in Live Oak. "Come out, grab some goodies, and celebrate with us as we support local students heading back to school!"
