SEF awards $8,000 to SCSD for STEM initiative

Jason Futch  reporter2.riverbendnews@gmail.com The Suwannee Education Foundation (SEF) recently announced the Suwannee County School District received a generous grant, which will go toward furthering student education in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).   On Wednesday, June 11, the SEF announced an $8,000 grant awarded to SCSD for the Suwannee STEM Initiative. The funding is designated to enhance technology in the classroom and support the purchase of innovative educational supplies across schools in the district. “These were the remaining funds for the Suwannee Foundation’s 1:1 matching grant that needed to be expended within this school
