Remembering Suwannee: 1882 description of Luraville

The internet can be a very wondrous thing, providing access to records from all around the world at the touch of a button. One such record I found many years ago was an article about Luraville from The Florida Dispatch of Jacksonville, dated Sept. 4, 1882, and written by esteemed Suwannee County Judge John W. Rice, who lived in the community:
