Patricia “Pat” Garvin Oehlert

Patricia "Pat" Garvin Oehlert, age 89, of Jasper passed away Monday, Sept. 13, 2021, at Lake City Medical Center in Lake City, following a brief illness. Pat was born in Macon, Ga., on April 5, 1932, to the late Louie and Florence McLendon Garvin. She lived most of her life in Aiken, S.C. She married the love of her life, Harvey E. Oehlert and, in 1959, they moved to Jaspe. They were welcomed into the community with open arms, as both of them had outgoing personalities. Harvey and she became active members of the First Presbyterian Church in Jasper. She was an ordained elder in the church and served as Treasurer for several years.
