On Wednesday, Aug. 20, a single vehicle accident resulted in the death of a Live Oak teen. According to a report filed by the Florida Highway Patrol, a 19-year-old Live Oak man was traveling north on County Road 136, around 5 a.m., in a sedan when he approached a 90-degree curve in the roadway. The sedan failed to turn, leaving the paved portion of the roadway. He entered a wooded area, where the front of the sedan collided with a tree. The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. More information will be released as it becomes available.
