Lafayette School Board addresses senior pranks and later start times

The Lafayette County School Board met prior to its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 19, in a workshop to address two pressing topics: cracking down on senior pranks and preparing for a possible shift in school start times.
Board members and administrators voiced their frustrations with what they described as increasingly disruptive senior pranks. Lafayette High School Principal Stewart Hancock said while some pranks have been light-hearted, such as filling an office with balloons or cooking breakfast in the teacher parking lot, others have caused significant problems.
