Lafayette Commissioners set budget hearing dates

Christian Peterson  reporter.riverbendnews@gmail.com On Tuesday, July 22, the Lafayette County Board of County Commissioners met for its regularly scheduled meeting. The meeting began with the Board approving the minutes from the previous meeting. Afterward, they proceeded to the public comment section. There was one speaker, Susan Newell, who took the stand. She explained to the Board she was requesting two different things. However, she first provided some history, discussing how she and her husband had owned and were renovating the Nature's River Trading Company. She continued, saying, she wanted to put a mural on the side of her building. Newell had also recently attended an event
