Kermit Ray Horne

Kermit Ray Horne, Sr., 87, of Lake City, passed away on Saturday morning, March 20, 2021, at the Lake City VA Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born in Tampa on Jan. 14, 1934, to the late Claude Judson Horne and Ruby Wynn Horne and spent most of his life in the Hamilton and Columbia County areas. He was a US Air Force Veteran and was a member of Hopeful Baptist Church in Lake City. Having grown up on a farm in Hamilton County near the banks of the Suwannee River, after the Air Force, he ventured into the business world starting out as a door-to-door insurance agent.
