Joyce Elaine George

Joyce Elaine George (Hahn) passed away peacefully at the age of 81 in Lake City, Fla. George was born on April 22, 1941, to Merle and Inda Haskins Hahn and met the love of her life, Oliver Gene George at just 17-years-old. They were married on May 27, 1959 and spent 63 years together. George found joy in gardening, yoga and fellowship at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. George's greatest joy, however, was surrounding herself with family, and she lived a life in which she did just that. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to an extensive family, all of whom she took great pleasure in caring for and spending time with.She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle Hahn
