James Leroy Fountain Sr.

James Leroy Fountain Sr., 84, of Live Oak, Fla., died Saturday, May 15, 2021, after a short illness, a catastrophic stroke. His passing was at North Florida Regional Medical Center, in Gainesville, Fla., under the care of Hospice.   Fountain was born September 5, 1936, in Collinsville, Ala., to Mary and Bethel Fountain. He was drafted into the Armor Branch of the United States Army in 1959. During his time in the Army, Fountain received the United Nations Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal and was also inducted into The Imminent Society of Border Legionaires. After an honorable discharge in 1965, Fountain settled in Largo, Fla. and established the business of Fountain Farms, Fo
