Jack Cox

Jack Cox, age 74, of Jasper, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at the home of his daughter, Cindy. The Hamilton County native and lifelong resident was born on July 21, 1946, to the late J.D. and Sadie Barton Cox. Following graduation, he joined the United States Navy. Upon return from the military, the bulk of his career was spent working for the Hamilton County School Board at the bus barn as a mechanic. Jack was not one to just sit around and so following his time with the school board he worked for both the City of Jasper and Suburban Propane. As a young man, Jack enjoyed going down to Lake City to the racetrack but fishing would have to be listed at the top of his hobby
