Hazel Smith Tyson

Hazel Smith Tyson, age 92, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021, officially becoming the angel she was at Haven Hospice, following a brief illness. Born Hazel Inez Smith to Mallory Oliver Smith (a former county commissioner) and Mary Green Smith in Hamilton County in 1928. Tyson was married to Lawrence Clinton Tyson in l 946. Tyson was predeceased by her parents and husband, Lawrence and one daughter, Gloria Denise Tyson Carroll.  Tyson was also predeceased by her brothers, Huford, Aubrey, Quinton and Ralph 'Buck' Smith, as well as sisters, Marie, Velma and Susan.
