Hamilton County commissioners pass code enforcement amendment

During the Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 6, a proposal was made to amend the county's code enforcement ordinance. The amendment would allow the county’s code enforcement officer to file complaints based on visual violations rather than relying solely on complaints submitted by residents.
When the proposal was introduced, District 5 Commissioner Richie McCoy said the change would give code enforcement officers a “path” to do their jobs while also helping those reporting the violations some anonymity.
