Hamilton County Commissioners furious over Withlacoochee River spill

On Tuesday, Aug. 5, the Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners met for its regular meeting at the county courthouse. While several topics were covered, one stood out: the recent spill of sewage waste in the Withlacoochee River in Georgia. According to the City of Valdosta, 6,750 gallons of sewer water were discharged into Sugar Creek, which flows into the Withlacoochee River and subsequently connects to the Suwannee River.
