On Tuesday, June 1, Chris Howard was officially announced as the new head varsity baseball coach for Columbia County High School.
Howard is coming off a great season at Hamilton County High School as the Trojans’ head baseball coach. Howard and his Trojans won the Class 1A District 6 Championship on their way to their first-ever appearance in the final four of the state championship tournament. Their hard fought final four game ended with a season record of 18 wins and nine losses. “This was a move that kind of fell into place,” stated Howard. “I’m excited about the opportunity there, I feel we can build something special moving forward.
