Gulfport man killed in single-vehicle accident

Jason Futch reporter2@riverbendnews.org A 32 year old Gulfport, Miss., man was killed on Thursday, Dec. 18, while riding in a vehicle driven by a 50 year old Miami man. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the vehicle was traveling east on Interstate 10 through Suwannee County, near mile marker 284, when it traveled off the roadway and collided with a tree. Both the driver and passenger were transported to area hospitals. The passenger was later pronounced deceased. The FHP is continuing to investigate the incident.
