The organizers of Flea Across Florida are encouraging residents and businesses along U.S. Highway 90 between Pensacola and Macclenny to “clean out your sheds, garages and closets” and prepare to be vendors during the mega garage sale. For those planning to make a stop-and-shop road trip out of the event, it's time to make plans for two days of adventurous “treasure” hunting.
The dates this spring are Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11, rain or shine, starting at 8 a.m. Sellers are encouraged to register their location on the official Flea Across Florida map, which is linked to the event's Facebook page.
Buyers can access the map to chart their journey and get a sneak peek at who is selling what along the way. Just click on any ecstatic “flea” icon to see more details about what's at that particular location, whether a residence, store, restaurant or other business.
Flea Across Florida has been taking place twice a year – the second weekend of April and September – for more than 22 years.
