Edna Ouida Edwards Buchanan

Edna Ouida Edwards Buchanan, 87, of Mayo, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, Feb. 22, 2021. She was born Aug. 23, 1933, to Hugh and Ouida Edwards. She was a graduate of Lafayette High School, where she played on the girls' basketball team. Buchanan was of the Baptist faith and a longtime faithful and active member of Brewer Lake Baptist Church. She was a homemaker to her family and worked alongside her husband, "Lavere,” on their family farm. She was the backbone of her family, a very kind and caring wife, mother and friend. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, painting and spending time with her family. Buchanan was preceded in death by: her parents, Hugh and
