Easter’s hope begins before the resurrection

Rightfully so, the focus of Easter is on the resurrection of Christ. For those who surrender their lives to Him, that same resurrection awaits them on that glorious day that death is swallowed up in victory.
The hours before Christ’s crucifixion reveal much more about His mission, worthy of our notice, for all that He endured was for us. It begins at the Passover meal, where Jesus is betrayed by a friend for 30 pieces of silver. There is no anger or revenge coming from Him. Sadness at Judas’ decision was certainly felt, but He loved him, nonetheless. Jesus taught us forgiveness through His actions. No words were needed.
