There's more to Miccosukee than meets the eye! Long before European settlers arrived in Florida, the area was already home to the native tribe it was named for: the Miccosukee. As they became the first settlers of the community, it evolved into a full- fledged town with homes, families and even its own town square. It may have been chosen as a settle
