Many people are aware of Helping Hearts of Suwannee County. Some have taken advantage of the Facebook group, receiving the help they needed to make it through the day, the month, or the year. Others have been able to help the program and others by donating items, time and money. Recently, the organization opened itself up more broadly to volunteers.
“We have less than six months before Christmas 2025,” the group wrote. “(We) are looking for volunteers and businesses to help raise funds for this year's toy drive! We are needing people to donate time, items for bake sales, raffles, silent auctions and anyway to raise funds for this year! So if you are looking to help your community, this is a great way to get involved!”
While the current volunteer application is for the upcoming toy drive, for those wanting to help, it is a good way to express interest. The application is simple; all you have to provide is your name, phone number and whether or not you represent a business. “Please be patient in receiving a response about this application,” the organization requested of volunteer applicants.
