“Death Cafe” comes to White Springs Public Library

The Death Cafe is a nationwide movement to explore the topics of death and dying in a confidential space. It is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session, as was seen during the event. Librarian Miranda Beard put together the event as a way to help those who either wish to talk about the concept of death and dying in an effort to destigmatize the topic.
