The Suwannee Festivals Committee invites the community to join in the fun at the Wildflower Festival and Plant Sale on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Heritage Park and Gardens, located at 1004 Helvenston St. S.E., in Live Oak. This free, family-friendly event will be packed with lively entertainment, educational opportunities and local charm.
Festival-goers can enjoy:
- Live music from talented local performers
- Local vendors offering handcrafted goods, plants, and more
- Informative presentations about native plants and gardening
- Delicious eats from a variety of food trucks
- Fun activities for all ages—and surprises around every corner!
But the celebration kicks off the night before with a colorful and creative twist!
Head to the south entrance of the Heritage Trail (at the intersection of Helvenston Street and Cross Avenue) on Friday evening, May 1, to kick off the festivities with Chalk Art on the Trail, a vibrant, playful event where art and nature meet.
From 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., young artists can decorate the sidewalk with beautiful nature-themed chalk art while enjoying the outdoors. Chalk will be provided — just bring your imagination!
After chalk art, head over to Heritage Park and Gardens at 8 p.m. to settle in for a fun, animated, nature-themed movie perfect for kids and families! Free popcorn will be provided.
Bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy a relaxing family night under the stars.
Don't miss this chance to celebrate Florida’s natural beauty with creativity, community, and connection. Mark your calendars and bring the whole family for a weekend full of fun at the Wildflower Festival and Plant Sale!
