Celebrate National Hunting and Fishing Day

More than 38 million Americans hunt and fish regularly. On the fourth Saturday of every September, National Hunting and Fishing (NHF) Day is celebrated.
In 1972, President Richard Nixon signed a Presidential proclamation on NHF Day. This holiday brings sportsmen and women from around the U.S. together to celebrate hunting, sport shooting and fishing. This day recognizes the generations of sportsmen/women for their donations to conservation of the United States’ hunting and fishing traditions.
There are different ways to participate in NHF Day. Some ways include: joining a NHF event, visiting a wildlife museum or going hunting or fishing.
