Back to School Tax Holiday begins July 20

Hailey Heseltine Riverbend News It might feel like summer's just begun, but the school year is right around the corner, with most students headed back for the 2026-27 academic year between Monday, Aug. 10 and Friday, Aug. 14. With this in mind, it's time to start thinking about what supplies you or your family need to succeed. According to the Florida Department of Revenue, this year's Back-to- School Sales Tax Holiday will start on Monday, July 20, and end on Thursday, Aug. 20. This means that if you purchase certain items between those dates, you will not have to pay sales tax, thereby reducing the cost to the consumer.
