When a person experiences sudden cardiac arrest, quick action can save a life. Along with CPR, an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is one of the most important tools available during a cardiac emergency.
An AED is a portable device that checks a person’s heart rhythm and, if needed, delivers an electric shock to help restore a normal heartbeat. These devices can be found in many public places, including schools, churches, sports facilities, airports and businesses.
