Many folks were excited to see the annual Christmas Lighted Parade on Saturday, Dec. 6, which traditionally concludes the Christmas on the Square celebration. This year, however, rain delayed the festive finale.
Despite this setback, the Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce refused to be defeated by the weather and rescheduled the parade for Friday, Dec. 12.
Streets throughout downtown Live Oak were crowded, stretching from Suwannee Pineview Elementary to Millennium Park. Families lined the sidewalks, cheering as candy was tossed to children while music played and Christmas lights illuminated the night.
