Suwannee High School: Boys Varsity Soccer Outstanding Athletes
#3 Rember Alonso (Soph.), Striker – Rember had 9 goals, 2 assists for 20 pts. and also had 5 steals and 1 save this season. He was the player of the game once as a result of a Hat Trick. Rember has been a leader up front the last two years and is a great person on and off the field. Rember participates in 3 v 3 tournaments in the offseason to improve his game. He is dedicated to the game he loves and is a pleasure to coach. GPA is 3.3
#4 Caleb Gomez (Soph.), Defender – Caleb had 5 saves and 2 steals this season. Caleb commands the middle very well and his teammates respect him for his quiet presence on the Pitch. Caleb participates in 3 v 3 tournaments and works all year around to keep getting better. GPA is 3.7
#19 Ethan Valencia (Fresh.), Striker – Ethan had 5 goals, 1 assist and 2 steals. Ethan dropped down to help JV voluntarily for 2 games and had an immediate impact with the game winning goal in one game. Two of his shots on goal for Varsity were a Bicycle kicks and he narrowly missed adding to his goal count. He is sure to develop that and try again next season. Ethan also presents a quiet command of his position and is a player we look forward to having on the team the next three years. GPA is 3.2

#31 Andrew Hutcheson (Soph.), Defense – The player with the best all-around season on defense had 7 saves and 23 steals and was Player of the game vs. S. Walton. He was called up to Varsity for one game and for Districts. GPA is 3.6
#36 Colt Lee (Soph.), CAPTAIN, Striker – he scored 4 goals, two of them were game winners, and 2 Assists for a total of 10 pts and was Player of the Game twice. GPA is 3.6
#48 Sergio Castro (Fresh.), CAPTAIN, Midfielder – He had a great attitude and was very versatile. He never complained, always did what we asked him to do and shared his opinion when necessary. His passion for the game and desire to win or at least do his best was unmatched. He represented Suwannee and his team as a Captain very well. He played on Varsity for one game and was called up for Districts. GPA is 2.7
Suwannee High School: Girls Soccer Outstanding Athletes
#2 Kayla Federick Woods, Center Mid. Woods played the hardest position on the field, and did a great job controlling the middle on defense and offense. Senior Captain. Woods will be missed next year.
#3 Lydia Gunter, Sweeper. Gunter had to learn a new position. Gunter did a great job controlling the defense and helping the rest of the defensive players.
#22 Layla Merola, Goalie. Merola had 6 shutouts with a GA of 1.8. She helped save games for the team. Senior Captain. Merola will be missed next year.
Branford High School: Girls Soccer Outstanding Athletes
#1 Delilah Poore, striker, earned 2 Player of the Match awards on MaxPreps, 2 Athlete of the Week awards from Lake City Reporter, 15 goals and 10 assists for the season. Our goal is a 30% finish rate and Delilah ended up with a 36% finish rate with 80% of her shots being on target. Delilah is rapidly developing into an exceptional striker, with noticeable improvements in both her aggression on the field and the accuracy of her shots this year. She is more than an amazing athlete, but an exceptional teammate as well.
#53 Zoe Nahabetian, goalkeeper, earned 4 Player of the Match awards on MaxPreps, earning 1 assist on the field, a total of 136 saves in goal with a goals against average of 1.28 goals a game. We never had more than 4 goals scored on us this season which is a record low for us, in large part to many of Zoe’s saves.
#15 Kayley Johnson, centerback (defense), earned 4 Player of the Match awards on MaxPreps, 71 defensive steals, 2 goals and 2 assists for the season. Kayley demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and adapt, showing exceptional coach-ability. She consistently puts in maximum effort and maintains a high level of dedication both on and off the field. She is an asset to our program.
Hamilton County High School: Boys Basketball Outstanding Athletes
#1 Hayden Tabor, Guard. Hayden is a knock down shooter that is great at picking his spots. Throughout the season Hayden has improved at becoming a player that can get his own shot as well as others. He has been reliable as well as a great leader. We should expect to see a much more polished Hayden come next season.
#12 Tyion Cohen, Guard. Tyion was one of our bright spots all season by doing a lot of the dirty work and taking the defensive challenges. Tyion provided constant energy and effort each game. When we needed something done Tyion was the someone we could call on to get us going.
#2 Cayden Merine, Guard. Cayden is an up and coming star for the Future of Hamilton county. He has played Middle School , JV , and Varsity all in one season, and made impact on every level. Cayden has shown to be someone that the program can rally behind with his leadership and work ethic.
