Wellborn Cornbread Festival finds success for another year

A large crowd descended on Wellborn on Saturday, Nov. 1, as early as 7 a.m. Soon, the parking lot next to Andrews Square was full, followed by the surrounding streets. Eventually, even the area across the train tracks saw heavy traffic. The reason for this gathering was the Fourth Annual Wellborn Cornbread Festival.
Standing in the square, one could find multiple vendors lining the dew-covered grass, offering things from gutter repair to 3-D printed toys. Horse rides were available for the younger crowd, and just across the way were food vendors offering all kinds of food from pretzels to pancakes.
