“Wear Purple Day” to shine light on domestic violence awareness

October is recognized nationwide as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Vivid Visions, Inc., the Suwannee County domestic violence shelter, is inviting the community to take part in raising awareness.
On Wednesday, Oct. 23, the shelter is inviting the community to participate in “Wear Purple Day,” a campaign to show support for survivors of domestic violence and spark conversations about prevention and awareness.
