Families, friends and Branford High School (BHS) supporters gathered in the school's auditorium on Saturday, Feb. 22, for the annual Little, Junior and Miss BHS Pageant, which had the theme: "Vintage Vibes and a Roaring Good Time." Twenty-one young ladies took to the stage to vie for the coveted crown and sash.
First, each contestant donned their favorite outfits of choice before returning to the stage in their finest evening gowns. After all the contestants had walked the stage, a brief intermission allowed the judges time to deliberate. Fifteen minutes later, the reigning queens made their final walks, and the evening's results were revealed.
In the youngest competition, Asher Forsyth was bestowed the title of Little Miss BHS along with the Miss Photogenic award. Additionally, Maggie Nipper was named second runner-up, while Ella Cannon was named first runner-up.
Jacey Roberts was crowned Junior Miss BHS and also received the Miss Photogenic award. The title of second runner-up went to Londyn Campbell, while first runner-up went to Jasmine Nunez. Also representing in the Junior Miss BHS competition was Kiki Norton, who took home the Linda Cannon Miss Congeniality Award.
Claiming the coveted crown of Miss BHS was Ansleigh Young, who also took home the Linda Cannon Miss Congeniality Award in the eldest division. Cadence Greek received the title of second runner-up, while first runner-up and the Miss Photogenic award went to Sophia McCall.
The organizers would like to express their gratitude to all who made the evening a success, including the Suwannee County School Board, the BHS administration, the BHS student council, the BHS dance team, the Class of 2028, Ladon Terry, Stefani Santos and Three Rivers Design & Printing, as well as all of the contestants and their families.
