The United Way of Suwannee Valley (UWSV) is getting ready for its Third Annual Golf Tournament. According to its website, the UWSV “is committed to advancing the common good in [the] community by building strong relationships with community partner impact agencies that share [its] common goal: improving people’s lives and strengthening [local] communities.” Each year, the organization hosts a golf tournament in which all proceeds benefit UWSV's Community Investment Fund. The event is a blast for all participants; not only do they get to have a good time playing golf, but they can rest assured that their money is going to a good place.
The tournament will be held at Quail Heights Country Club on Friday, March 7. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Entry into the tournament is $260 for a four-man team or $65 per golfer. However, the tournament is limited to 25 teams. Power Packs will be available for $10 each.
Immediately after the tournament, there will be lunch and an awards presentation. Awards will be given for first place, second place, longest drive, closest to the pin, putting contest and even more. On top of that, The Wheeler Agency is sponsoring a hole-in-one $10,000 prize. Sponsorship options are still available. For more information, email Tyler@unitedwsv.org or call (386) 752-5604 Ext. 115.
