
Underdog no more, Buccaneers seal historic soccer win against Tigers

The Branford High School boys’ soccer program is only in its second year. Last season, they didn't win any games, but this year, they are determined to change that. On Monday, Nov. 13, the Buccaneers played their first home game of the season against the Trenton Tigers, and they didn't disappoint. The Bucs dominated the match from the start, thanks to the impressive ball-handling skills of sophomore Victor Hernandez, who proved too much for the Tigers to handle. Hernandez's speed and agility meant he could easily break through the Tigers' defense, and his passes to Carter Newman and Hector Velasquez were equally impressive.
