Two dead following I-75 crash

A two-vehicle accident that occurred early Sunday morning, Oct. 19, claimed the lives of two Illinois residents after their vehicle caught fire along Interstate 75 in Suwannee County.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred around 2 a.m. near mile marker 440, when a southbound sport utility vehicle collided with a tractor-
trailer. Following the impact, the SUV struck a guardrail and caught on fire.
The driver of the SUV, a 45-year-old man, and his female passenger, both from Palatine, Ill., were pronounced dead at the scene.
