Town of Jennings and Hamilton County continue EMS negotiations

Rick Patrick Riverbend News During the regular meeting of the Jennings Town Council on Tuesday, May 5, there was much discussion regarding an interlocal agreement between the Town and Hamilton County for space for interim emergency management services. The county has proposed using the east side of the current Jennings Fire Station for the “placement of personnel necessary to provide more timely and effective emergency medical services responsiveness to town residents, as well as residents in the areas outside the town municipal limits.” A point of contention for the Jennings Town Council is a section of the agreement that calls for the town to contribute an amount of money to the c
