The Woman’s Club of Jasper honors Veterans

Delores Howell Contributor The Woman's Club of Jasper honored ac27 Veterans with a luncheon and a program on Thursday, Nov. 7. Each member, due to limited space in the building, invited two guests to join them for a luncheon buffet prepared by the ladies of the Woman's Club. After the luncheon, the members of the Woman's Club paid tribute to Veterans with an informative program, which also included an original poem written by Cheryl McCall and the singing of patriotic songs. Dr. George Clay, a retired Navy Veteran, was also recognized for recently celebrating his 95th birthday. Navy Veteran Steve Tuten concluded the tribute by playing "Taps."
