Justin Starling tragically lost his life in a car accident in August 2010. Still, his family and community have since kept his memory alive, particularly through the Justin Starling Memorial Scholarship Fund.
On Saturday, Aug. 23, the group will be hosting an open bass tournament to help raise money for the fund. Entry costs $150 per boat. There will also be raffles and guaranteed prizes for the tournament participants. First place will be awarded $3,000, second place will receive $1,000, third place gets $500, fourth place gets $300, and fifth place will win $200. The tournament will begin at 3 p.m. at Sandy Point.
