The Suwannee County Chamber of Commerce joined T-Mobile as it celebrated its first anniversary on Monday, May 19. The event highlighted the store and shared with the community the strides it has made since opening last year.
The event was highlighted by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, with Ian Alvado, the store manager, cutting the ribbon. “I want to thank everyone for their support as we continue to provide service to the people in our county,” Alvado said, sharing his appreciation to the Chamber and the City of Live Oak, represented by Mayor Frank Davis, for being present at the anniversary event.
T-Mobile opened its doors to the public at its current location last May, providing services to Live Oak and Suwannee County for the first time. Prior to their opening, T-Mobile customers would have to travel to the nearest store in Lake City to receive services. With T-Mobile marking its first year in the county, customers now have a convenient way to receive services for their devices.
Over the years, T-Mobile has focused on opening stores in rural areas and providing grants to local municipalities through its Hometown Grants program. The funds from the grants help with beautification projects and public improvement projects cities within the store’s service area are working on.
The Chamber continues to support T-Mobile’s growth in Live Oak. “We are proud to support businesses like T-Mobile that bring connectivity, innovation and outstanding service to our community,” the Chamber shared on its social media.
T-Mobile is located at the Suwannee Crossings plaza at 6670 US 129 N., in Live Oak. Its store hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
