SVEC Cornhole Tournament raises over $4,500 for United Way of Suwannee Valley

Danny Federico  reporter3.riverbendnews@gmail.com On Saturday, June 7, Suwannee Valley Electric Cooperative hosted its eighth annual Cornhole Tournament, drawing 12 competitive teams and raising more than $4,500 for United Way of Suwannee Valley. Despite a week of rain and an uncertain forecast for the day, the tournament proceeded without any disruptions. “Thankfully, the rain held off long enough for us to enjoy the tournament,” said Christy Tuckey, SVEC’s Manager of Communications and Public Relations. “And the wind brought a nice breeze and extra challenge to everyone’s gameplay!” Out of the 12 competing teams, nine faced off in the Recreational Bracket, while th
