Suwannee River Water Management District receives national award

 Kenzie James  reporter3.riverbendnews@gmail.com The Suwannee River Water Management District (SRWMD) recently received a national award for last years flood risk review.  The SRWMD received the 2024 Outreach Award from the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) for its work on the Santa Fe Flood Risk review. The SRWMD press release on Friday, June 28, shared that the District had begun developing new maps for local communities to use in planning in Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Columbia, Gilchrist, Suwannee and Union Counties in February 2023.
