Suwannee man arrested for alleged child abuse
Jason Futch reporter2.riverbendnews@gmail.com A Suwannee County man was arrested by Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) deputies on Saturday, Aug. 23, following a months-long investigation into severe child abuse.
According to a social media post and an arrest affidavit by the SCSO, at approximately 1:48 a.m., 25-year-old Tomas Alejandro Cortes Johnson was arrested as a result of an arrest warrant for felony child abuse. While Deputy Savannah Agapito and Corporal Justin Stout were attempting to serve the warrant on Johnson at 119th Road in Live Oak, he fled on foot in the opposite direction from Deputy Agapito.
