Suwannee County Jail escapee caught by K9s

Grace McAlister  Reporter1@riverbendnews.org On Monday, Jan. 17, inmate Anthony Eugene Ward, 48, escaped from the Suwannee County Jail in Live Oak at 6:15 a.m. Ward was an inmate trustee and walked away from his assigned job at the Suwannee County Jail. Suwannee County Detention Deputies and Supervisors quickly began to notify Suwannee County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center, Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division and area State Correctional Institution K9 teams.
