Suwannee County Fire Rescue pioneers mental health care with peer support team

Being a first responder is a very important job. However, it comes with a heavy cost not just on the body, but also on the mind. As mental health has become something more openly discussed, those in the first responder field have seen available mental health resources grow. That doesn’t mean improvement isn’t still needed though. Suwannee County Fire Rescue (SCFR) is leading the way in those improvements for rural North Florida.
