Support the Fay family after a terrible loss

The Fay family is suffering from a significant loss this year. While Ronnie, Brittany and their three children were away on a family vacation, their house caught fire. 

"The fire consumed everything," their GoFundMe, organized by Julie Ramirez, reads. "There is nothing left, nothing salvageable. They lost not only their home, but also their pets, irreplaceable valuables and treasured memories. The family is returning to Live Oak to find their lives turned upside down, with no place to call home and no belongings to help them start over." 

Now, the community is being called on for help. Money raised will go directly to the family as they find temporary housing and purchase school supplies, clothing, food, toiletries and other daily essentials. 

In an update, posted on Friday, July 24, Ramirez, Brittany's sister-in-law, provided more information. 

"Brittany spent several hours yesterday going through clothing donations and, in between tears and smiles, she expressed how amazed the family is by the outpouring of love and care they have received. They lost everything in the fire, including a fireproof safe that wasn't so fireproof. When she pulled it out of the ash and opened it, the family's entire life savings was burned up, leaving crumbled pieces of paper," Ramirez said. 

"Your support will help Ronnie, Brittany and their children rebuild and recover from this tragedy, providing them with the basics they need to get back on their feet," the GoFundMe continues. "Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in their journey toward healing and stability. Live Oak, we need your help!
