The Mayo Eastern Star Chapter 196 and Mayo Masonic Lodge No. 119 are joining forces for a unique experience: a Womanless Fashion Show. The event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22, and is being put together to raise funds for the scholarships that the groups give to graduating seniors.
A womanless fashion show is an event where men enter to compete, but each category of competition requires that they dress as women. The show will be hosted at the Mayo Masonic Lodge, located at 632 E Main St. The show will begin at 3 p.m., and dinner will follow. The show is split up into three different events: the long gown competition, daywear and, to wrap up, Mardi Gras attire.
Tickets for the show and dinner cost $10. Dinner will include fried chicken and baked, a “real country meal,” said Charlotte Kirby with the Eastern Star. “Everyone is very excited about this event.” To learn more about the event, to purchase tickets or to volunteer to be in the show, reach out to Robin Kimbril at (386) 249-2563.
